A very honest and heart rending track which speaks of the loss of his mother. Emotion is near the surface as while cleaning out her house after her death he realises there are still questions left unanswered. Regrets for her life and missed opportunities, this track is heartfelt and energetic. With lyrics, “What was it that brought you west I assume I can only guess It’s the question to what I’ve asked?” it does give a sense of the pain and anger that goes along with the loss of someone close. A clash of drums, bass and guitar riffs, this is almost like a therapeutic anger session designed to raze the pain of his loss against the back drop of the lament “on my own”….”on my own” which gives some idea of the angst of losing a parent.
